BMW has unveiled the all-new seventh-generation 7 Series, describing it as the most extensive update in the brand’s history. The flagship saloon introduces BMW’s Neue Klasse design language to the luxury segment, featuring a cleaner, more monolithic exterior with a redesigned kidney grille, ultra-slim headlights, and a full-width rear light bar. Customers will also have access to an expanded range of personalisation options through BMW Individual, including over 500 colour combinations, new crystal lighting elements, and wheel designs up to 22 inches.
Inside, the new 7 Series focuses on a minimalist yet highly luxurious cabin that blends premium materials such as leather, metal and crystal glass with advanced digital technology. Key features include BMW’s new Panoramic iDrive system running Operating System X, a standard passenger display, upgraded Theatre Screen with Dolby Atmos audio, and integrated video conferencing. Comfort features such as Executive Lounge seating, a panoramic glass roof, four-zone climate control, and upgraded automatic doors aim to reinforce its position as a chauffeur-focused luxury saloon.
BMW has also significantly upgraded the driving and digital systems, introducing adaptive air suspension, integral active steering, and AI-assisted tyre monitoring. The electronics architecture is designed to support future software updates and advanced driver assistance features.
The electric BMW i7 range has been improved with Gen6 battery technology, delivering up to 452 miles of WLTP range in the i7 50 xDrive. Performance-focused versions include the i7 M70 xDrive, producing 680 hp and accelerating from 0–62 mph in 3.8 seconds. Plug-in hybrid versions, including the 750e xDrive and M760e xDrive, will follow in 2026.
Production will take place at BMW’s Dingolfing plant, with the new 7 Series set to make its world premiere in April 2026 in Beijing, before arriving in the UK from September 2026.
