• Dacia announced prices and specs this week for the Dacia Bigster, one of the most hotly anticipated cars to arrive this year, and is priced from £24,995 on-the-road.

Bigster will be available in the UK with three trim levels. These include Expression, as well as two top-specification finishes – Journey and Extreme. Both top trims offer different equipment, but have complementary features, all for a similar price. The entire range comes in under £30,000 on-the-road.

For the first time in the Dacia range, the TCe 140 powertrain combines a new-generation 1.2 litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a 48V mild hybrid system, optimising driving pleasure and reducing average fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.

The Bigster is the first model within Renault Group to offer the all-new hybrid 155 powertrain, mated to an automatic gearbox and available from the Expression trim level.

The TCe 130 4x4 is built to venture off the beaten track with an all-wheel drive system, mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, and a 48V mild hybrid system to maximise efficiency. This powertrain is also available from the Expression trim level.

The Dacia Bigster is available to pre-order now by placing a refundable £250 deposit via Dacia’s website.

  • Škoda is set to broaden the appeal of its multi-award-winning Enyaq range with a fully updated new model that introduces a new design and multiple engineering enhancements. Ahead of its arrival in the UK in the second quarter of 2025, Škoda has confirmed UK prices, line-up and final specifications.

Available in both SUV and Coupé forms, the new Enyaq now features the brand’s Modern Solid design language, blending robustness and functionality with a fresh take on Škoda’s signature styling. The design changes align the new Enyaq with the Elroq to give the brand’s all-electric offerings a powerful and unmistakable new look.

The new Enyaq SUV line-up consists of four derivatives, all of which feature more standard equipment than the variants they replace. Customers can choose from SE L, Edition and SportLine trim levels and fine-tune their car with different Design Selections and option packs.

The refreshed Škoda Enyaq is available with two battery sizes and three powertrain options, catering to a wide range of driver needs. The new entry-level Enyaq 60 features a 63kWh (59kWh net) battery paired with a 204PS (150kW) rear-mounted electric motor, delivering 310Nm of torque and a top speed of 99mph.

For drivers requiring a longer driving range, the Enyaq 85 uses an 82kWh (77kWh net) battery and a more powerful 286PS (210kW) motor, offering 545Nm of torque and a higher top speed of 111mph.

And for those seeking all-wheel drive, the Enyaq 85x adds a second motor on the front axle. While power and torque remain the same as the rear-wheel drive Enyaq 85, the system enhances traction and stability, dynamically adjusting front-wheel power to optimise efficiency.

The new Enyaq 60 has a WLTP combined driving range figure of up to 268 miles, while the Enyaq 85 offers up to 359 miles of WLTP range for the SUV model and up to 365 miles (WLTP) for the Coupé variant. All-wheel-drive 85x models deliver up to 332 miles of WLTP range for the SUV and up to 334 (WLTP) for the Coupé.

The Enyaq 60 supports charging rates of up to 165kW, replenishing its battery from 10 to 80 per cent in just 24 minutes at DC fast chargers. The larger-battery Enyaq 85x can handle up to 175kW, achieving a 10-80 per cent charge in 28 minutes. All variants support AC inputs at up to 11kW for home or workplace charging.
