• The new BMW 7 Series represents a significant step up from its predecessor and for the first time brings plug-in electrification to every model sold in the UK.

    Available exclusively in long-wheelbase form in either M Sport or Excellence specification, the new BMW 7 Series range comprises models from both the BMW i and BMW M brands. The dedicated M Performance model will deliver 571hp, combining the performance characteristics of a BMW M model with efficiency-enhancing plug-in hybrid technology. The i model will provide a combined 536hp from two electric motors and offer a range of up to 388 miles (WLTP).

    The new BMW 7 Series has grown by 130mm in length to 5,391mm, by 48mm in width to 1,950mm and by 51mm in height to 1,544mm. Its wheelbase is now 5mm longer at 3,215mm, which further enhances seating comfort in the rear. The headroom in the interior of the new BMW 7 Series has also been noticeably improved. The new model also offers innovative features such as a unique 31.3-inch 8K BMW Theatre Screen, the latest generation of BMW Operating System 8, plus the new BMW Curved Display and BMW Interaction Bar.

    Launching later this year with the pure electric i7 xDrive60 is priced from £107,400 RRP, with the first UK deliveries expected to commence from December 2022. The plug-in hybrid 750e xDrive and M760e xDrive are set to follow in spring 2023, as well as the i7 M70 xDrive, the future flagship model, will follow later in 2023.

  • Mercedes-Benz also revealed their latest luxury vehicle this week, the New EQS SUV.

    The new EQS SUV shares the long wheelbase (3,210 mm) with the EQS Saloon, but is over 20cm higher. Power for all launch models is provided by a 107.8kWh battery – the same lithium-ion unit used by the EQS saloon and is expected to offer a range of up to 410 miles (WLTP)

    The New Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV will be available at the end of the year, with pricing yet to be announced.
